"POWER AND CHAOS!!! Where did they go?" "Into the mall, through that sewer I think Zoot. Let's go after them!" "No, we don't attack the mall. Not now at least." Zoot looked the at the back of the mall. "We just might have to go there soon though. Don't worry about it though. Back to the base!!!!" Novaliee sat back down in the police car. She adjusted the dark leather duster that covered her usual clothes. She wore all light colours, but it was part leather, so Zoot didn't mind that much. She had to wear the coat though when they went around in the police car though. She hated the coat, the knew the penelty for disobeying Zoot. She wasn't about to take the coat off. Once back at their new base, another hotel across town, she was finally aloud to take the coat off. She decided to aproch Zoot about the coat. She had the coat over her arm when she went to him. He was outside, by the pool. "Zoot, I have to talk to you." "Yes my sweet, what is it?" She smiled. Zoot was crazy about her and she was crazy about him. She just hoped she wouldn't luck out. "It's about the coat." "What about it?" "It's getting to hot to wear it when we're in the police car. I'm boiling whenever we go out." Zoot stood in front of her. She was in for it now she thought. He was going to get angry, and make her stay in the elevator lock. "It is really hot right now to don't you think?" "Yeah, why?" Zoot smiled and evil grin and picked her up. Then he jumped into the pool, with Novaliee in his arms. When she surfaced, Zoot was waiting. He grabbed her legs and she went back under. When she came up. He was still smiling, but she knew he was going to say something inportant. "Just change into darker, more threatening clothes. I don't know many people afraid of a butterfly." He said, indicating to her pink shirt. She laughed. "Either do I." His grin returned, and he tackled he again, and they spent the rest of the day, playing around in the pool.

Dagger and Crooked walked through the empty streets. "Why is it so quiet?" "No clue Dagger. I'm not Zoot and I'm definatly not Ram. It is oddly quiet right now though." "Ram doesn't cause that much trouble in the city. I was talking about Zoot. He's always around." "Well, maybe he's taking the day off." "Maybe." They were walked past the mall, when two people came out. "Hey, what are you doing in sector 9? Get out of here!!" "Lex, people are allowed in here. I'm Amber. Have you seen anyone named Bray around here?" "No sorry. We haven't Amber. If we do, should we come to the mall and tell you?" "Please do. Bring him to the mall if you find him." "We will." "Thank, now Lex, if your done staring, we have to talk to Ram. He might know where Bray is." Lex had been staring at Dagger. Amber knew it, and grabbed Lex's arm, and dragged him away. Dagger gave a small laugh. "What's so funny?" "You'll understand when you're older Crooked." "I'm not a child. What's going on?" "Nothing. Why don't we look for that Bray guy. Amber seemed upset." "You? Helping a stranger?" "She seemed upset. Besides, I need something to do. Let's help her." "Fine. I don't know why you want to." "Because it's the right thing to do." "That was never a motive for you before." "Stop arguing with me! Come on, lets go!" The two started in the opposite way that Amber and Lex had gone. Dagger did have a different motive, but she woudn't tell Crooked. He would just laugh, and not help her look. She was after Lex.

Jada walked to the training grounds. She was a Techno, but no would could tell. She wore her own clothes, a special privedge, that Jay had gotten for her from Ram. She would be training the female guards, so they would be strong and able to fight. That was another privledge. Ram didn't like having female guards. He thought that they were weaker and not as good as the male guards. He only had Java and Siva as his help because they were his wives. That was a different matter. She got to the field, where her cadets were lounging in chairs. "Alright, enough lounging, file up." "What are you talking about?" "You heard me. I want you all in a line, side by side, facing me, right now." They all got up and lined up. She looked at them and shook her head. It was going to take a lot to prove to Ram that he could have female guards, and the bunch she had now, weren't going to co-operate. After a few hours of running, sit-ups, push-ups, learning the basics, like attention and march, everyone was exhasted. "Everyone back to their rooms and shower and eat. Then rest. I want to see you all here again tomorrow morning. Be more ready this time. If any of you come in heels, you will either be running in them, or running barefoot, so come prepared. Ram didn't say you could have street dress while training so you could dress yourselves up to impress. The Techno uniforms are suitable for training. Just be prepared. You're all dismissed." Everyone walked off sore. They had been through quite alot. Jada smiled. She would have they whipped into shape in no time. She walked back to her room and showered. She wrapped herself up in a towel, then walked into her room. She would have to take her clother to be washed. They were all sweaty and dirty. When she picked her stuff up, she noticed thats she wasn't alone. Jay was sitting on her bed. "What are you doing in here? I still have to get dressed!" "I know. I just wanted to know how it went." He walked up to her, but she backed up. "Get away. I have work to do. Plus, I still have clothes to put on. Get lost." "You're not being very nice." "That's alright. You won't leave." "You're right." He pulled her into a kiss.

Cher, Hayden and Ethan were sitting together near the pool watching Zoot and Nova play around. Cher sighed followed by a sigh from Hayden. Hayden looked and Cher. He knew she was crazy about Zoot. He just wished that she would look for love in easier places. Hayden had had a major thing for Cher since he first met her. He just wish that she would realize it. "Look at him." "No thanks." "Oh Hayden, I don't see what your problem is." "Why should you?" Hayden sottd up and walked away. Ethan shook his head. He knew how much Hayden liked Cher, and it hurt him to see how hurt his friends were getting over such a stupid thing. "Cher, do you really want to know Hayden's problem?" "Yes! Everytime I say something about Zoot, he gets mad and walks away. It's so childish." "Maybe, but you have to understand. He doesn't have anything against Zoot." "Then what's wrong? Does he like me or something?" Ethan didn't say anything. He looked back over and Zoot and Nova, then back at Cher. "Oh my God. Hayden likes me. Since when?" "He always has. Ever since he met you." I'd love to stay and chat, but, I really should talk to him." "That you should. Hurry up." Cher got up and ran off. She had to find Hayden before it was to late.

Iris ran as fast as she could. She had to get back to the mall before it was to late. She had over heard some Technos talking. They were doing some training, then they were going to attack the mall and then the Locos hotel. They would take everyone captive and throw them all into VR. She had to warn her friends, and most of all, Ryan. As she was running around the corner, when she ran into a girl. They both went tumbling to the ground. Iris quickly got up, and noticed the girl was a Loco. She would get in real trouble. "What do you think your doing little girl." "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I have to get back to the mall." "You're not going to the mall. You're coming with me to the hotel." "No please. I need your help. The Technos have started new training, then they're going to attack the mall, then the Loco hotel. You have to help." "What? Sure, I'll help. I'm Ami by the way." "I'm Iris. Please, I have to get back to the mall to warn them." The two girls ran to the mall as fast as the could. When they got there, a green truck was parked outside. On the truck was a large "T". The two girls looked at each other in horror.

Julia was about to walk out the doors. Ryan had asked her to go and see where Iris had gone, since he had to stay on watch. She wouldn't have done it normally, but since Ryan and Lex were good friends and her and Lex were good friends, she decided to do it. Just as she was walking out the door, Iris and another girl ran into her. The three of the fell. "We have to stop bumping into things, don't we Ami?" "Yeah we do." "What is going on? You've been gone for a long time Iris and Ryan is worried sick." Julia said as she stood up. She help the two girls to their feet. "Whoa, she's a Loco! What's she doing in here?" "I over-heard a Techno. They're doing new training. Then they're going to attack the mall and the Loco hotel. We have to warn everyone." "We should tell Amber." "You tell Amber Julia, I have to go with Ami to warn Zoot about them." "Are you joking? That's dangerous!" "Don't worry. I'll make sure Zoot doesn't hurt Iris. Just tell your leader. Come on Iris, we have to warn him!" Iris and Ami ran back out of the mall leaving a fusterated Julia behind. "What about Ryan?" "Tell him I love him and I'll be home soon!" Then they were gone. Julia sighed. It was just like Iris. To busy helping others to realize the danger she was getting into. She had to warn Amber about what was going to happen.

Keshia, Josh and McKayla were sitting in the park. "What are we going to do guys?" "I have no idea." "We're all alone once again." The Locos had attacked the place where them and their tribe were staying. The entire tribe was now scattered around the city. "Do you guys want to go back home? I mean, maybe someone is still there." "Yeah, like the Locos." "No, the sirens have stopped. They must be done for the day." "No way. They're just trying to stay hidden." "We should go somewhere." "Why don't we go to the Loco hotel and try to be Locos?" "McKayla, you need sleep." "Shut up Josh. At least I'm thinking." "Stop fighting you two. Any other ideas?" "Why not go to the Bailey hotel?" "And do what?" "Join the Technos." "Are you insane McKayla?" "Don't worry about her Keshia. She needs sleep. She did the watch last night and hasn't slept since." "Right. Well, what should we do?" "To the mall!" McKayla got up and started walking away. "Where is she going?" "To the mall." "We had better go after her." "Good plan." Josh and Keshia picked up their bags and headed after McKayla.

Nia was walking through the city. She had made herself a home in a school, so the only time she was bothered was when Zoot came looking for books to burn. He didn't bother her that much because she gladly gave him the book and joined in the burning. She was heading home from looking for books. Her bag wasn't quite full, but she had enough for one day. She was walking through an alley, when she found a body. It was all covered in blood, and their clothes were ripped, and she couldn't make out the face. She gasped. She went to walked over it, thinking it was dead, but it's hand moved. She jumped. "Don't worry, I'll help you." She was near home, so she would be able to get him there easily. "I'm going home to get a wheelbarrow. It will be easier to get you to the school." She dropped her bag and ran to the school. She went to the gardening shed and found the wheelbarrow. She quickly made it back to the person. She carefully put him in, with quite a bit of struggle. She put her bag back on her shoulder and went back to the school to fix the person up.

"Shhhhhhh, Saorise, please don't cry. We don't need the Technos or the Locos finding us." "Yeah Saorise, once we find the Mallrats or the Ecos we'll be safe. Until then, don't cry." Saorise looked at her mom and whimpered. "Please, we'll be safe soon." "Come on Angel, we're going to the forest." "No, I know Amber and she part of both the Mallrats and the Ecos. We'll be safe for sure with her." "It's to dangerous to stay in the streets." "I know, but we should just go to the mall. If Amber's a Mallrat, then she'll be there. We should go there first. Besides, the Mallrats are a friendly tribe, so we'll be safe." "Fine, we'll go to the mall." "That's what you think." Ram and wheeled up in his wheelchair with Java and Siva, but they hadn't heard him. Angel clutched her baby close as Jesse stood up. "Maybe you should just come with us quietly." "Please Ram, don't hurt us. We just need to find the Mallrats, that's all." "The Mallrats hmmmmm, you're coming with us." "Never." "Come be a Techno, it's a good opertunity." Angel looked at Jesse. "Jess, it's all we have left." "Fine, we'll go with you. There's nothing else for us to do." "Excellent. Do you know the Mallrats?" "Yes, I'm good friends with Amber." "Even better. I've got some plan for you three." The six of them headed back the the Bailey hotel.

Lily Spirt looked one last time at the grave. It was the grave of Zandra. The two had been friends before the virus, and Lily Spirit also knew Lex, Ryan and Glenn. She hoped that they other three were alright. She decided to go to the mall(everyone seems to be going there!) to see if they were there. If they weren't there, someone at the mall should know where they are. If the Mallrats couldn't help her, she would go to Jay. He would always help her if she needed help, but she hadn't seen him for a while. She turned and headed back towards the city, hoping she wouldn't encounter any problems.

Falcon was sitting in a dance club, drinking some water. She wondered where Ved was. She hoped that Keshia and Cloe was staying about from him. They always seemed to be with him or wanting to be around him. She found it quite annoying. Jack walked in looking extremely tired. He sat down beside Falcon. "You look tired Jack." "I'm quite tired, I've been running around trying to get stuff done for Ram, but he's never satisfied." "Then why do you do it?" "Because he's got Ellie." "I thought that things weren't going to well for you and Ellie." "Well, they aren't, but she's my friend. He said that if I help him, he'll let her go." "You really believe that?" "I'm not sure anymore Falcon, but all his orders are getting ridiculous." "They must be." All of a sudden, Ram wheeled in with Java, Siva and a guy and girl who was carring a baby. "Jack, it's good to see you. Some street kids said you were in here." "Oh really. I'm done everything you told me to do for today." "That's good. I still have work for you to do. I need some more codes done for VR and you're going to help me. Come on." Jack groaned and mumbled something under his breath. It sounded like 'Why doesn't someone push him off a building?', but Falcon couldn't be sure. "It's been nice talking to you Falcon. Ved's at the mall I'm pretty sure, if you want to see him. I think he said he was looking for you." "Thanks Jack. Have fun." "Yeah, I'm sure I will." He followed Ram out the door. Falcon laughed and shook her head. She decided to head to the mall to see Ved. She hadn't been to the mall for a while, so she was wondering why he was looking for her there. She finished her water, and headed to the mall.

Cassondra stood in her back yard remember the fun she use to have before the virus. She remembered how she and three other friends had had a "Glowstick Soroity" and ran through the backyard yelling "Colours!" to be responded with blue, pink, purple and yellow, of the glowstick clolours. She looked at the barn and remember playing in there as a child while her dad worked on the car. She shook her head and went back into the house. "Alright guys. We have to go into the city and get the rest of us. Then we'll leave forever. Is that okay?" "Why do we have to go back? The Locos will get us!" "Does this look like everyone?" She looked around. There was only about ten of the usually twenty-five of them. "Who says they'll be there?" "We'll do a quick look, then leave, got it?" "And when the Locos or Demon Dogs catch and kill us all, you'll be to blame." "Fine. Let's go." Everyone headed out of the house, back into the city.

Eric, TC, Tiffany, Robert and Ashley sat on the docks. "She's not coming." "Shut up TC. Cassondra will come." "We've waited for weeks. She isn't coming Tiff." "She'll come. Just you wait and when she does, I'm going to tell her that the rest of you lost faith in her ever showing up." "Why are we waiting again?" "Eric you retard I tell you every day. She said that she would meet us here one day." "When will that day come." "The day is here." Cassondra had come up behind them, with Jessica, Meighan, Tammy, Justine, Marlee, Mike, Chris, Edward, Colin, Cameron and Brennan. Tiffany jumped up and hugged Cassondra. "I thought I'd never see you again!!!!!" "Same here. I didn't think anyone in they're right mind would wait that long." "I know." "Shh, quiet guys, everyone get down." They all ducked down as Ram and his followers went by. No one moved for at eadt ten minutes. Finally, Chris stood up. "We have to get out of here, right now." "Fine, lets go!!!!" They all started out of the city, towards Eagle Mountian.

"Don't you dare touch Truth!" Tragedy shouted and attacked Ved. They wrestled a bit, until they both fell into the sewer. Truth and Cloe looked on horrified. "Look what your boyfriend did to Ved you little wench!!" Cloe attacked the terrified Truth. "Let me go! It's not my fault! I said, LET ME GO!!!" Truth threw Cloe into the sewer. Tragedy laughed and pulled himself out of the sewer. "You'll both pay!!" Ved, still sloatingin the sewer, pointed his laser at them and shot. It didn't do anything. "You got it wet! Ram's goingto kill me!!! Now you're really going to pay!!!" Ved started to get out of the sewer, but Truth stepped on his fingers. "Stay in there. It suits you." The two of them ran back out of the sewer, back to where the Locos had previously chased them. "You really stink Tragedy." "What?" "The sewer water, it smells really bad." "Oh, sorry. We should head to the forest then, to the river." "That is a great idea." The two headed laughing, into the forest.

Dagger and Crooked search the empty streets all day, looking for Bray. Dagger was also looking for an excuse to go back to the mall, back to see Lex. "We aren't going to find anything Dagger." "Yeah we will. Just you wait." Then they heard a low murmering. They went towards it. "POWER AND CHAOS, POWER AND CHOAS!!!" Dagger and Crooked hid behind some over-turned garbage cans. "Great, we just lead ourselves to the Locos." "I don't think they're Locos." "What are you talking about?" "Remember, when Zoot left, and the Locos went with him, that nut tribe that emerged?" "They're back to?" "I think so and we just found they're lair."

Jay finally left Jada's room. She shook her head. She was going to have to whip that boy in line, just like her new cadets. She quickly got dressed, in her Techno uniform, and took her dirty sweaty clothes downstairs to be washed. She would need them for tomorrow. She would also need another pair of clothes, the same as them. She decided to go talk to Ram about how the training went. He would want a report. She went to him room, where the Vr panel was, but he wasn't there. She sat in one of the chairs, that faced the screens. She could see what was going on in the VR. She looked and the screen and gasped.

"Hayden! Hayden! Where are you?" Cher couldn't find Hayden anywhere. There was only one place left to look. His room. As she walked there, she realized something. All this time, she had been pushing her feelings for her friend away from her, by being jealous of Nova. She realized thats he felt the same way about Hayden, as he felt about her. She hurried to his room. She knocked, but no one answered. She sighed. She had no idea where to look next. She decided to go into his room, just in case. She opened the door, and found Haden staring out the window. "Hayden?" "Cher? What are you doing here?" He walked over to her, but she shut the door behind her. "I have something to tell you." "Oh what? That you love Zoot so much that you're going to go find the Guardian and the Choosen so your worshipping of him will be known?" "No. Please don't be angry with me Hayden. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get you upset." "Well it seems like it." "Hayden, Ethan told me." "Told you what?" "How you fell about me." Hayden turned and walked back over to the window. Cher followed, and put her arm around his neck. He turned. "I feel the same way to."

Julia ran to the cafe, to see if Amber was there. When she got there, four Technos were sitting in the cafe, talking to Ryan, Dal, Salene and Alice. "What are they doing in here?" "Don't worry about it Julia." "Salene, of course I'm going to worry. Where's Amber?" "She with Lex. They went to go look for Tai-San and Bray." "Great. Just great. Get these guys out of here, please. They shouldn't be in here without permission from Amber." "She'd let them in." "No she wouldn't. Make them leave." "We aren't leaving, and if we do, you'll be leaving with us." "Fine. I'm going to find Amber." Julia ran out of the cafe, and out of the mall. She had to warn Amber.

Keshia, Josh and McKayla had made it safely to the mall. "Now what are we going to do McKayla?" "Wait for Tai-San." "Tai-San?" "Yeah, I know her." "What if she doesn't come?" "Then we'll have to sit on the curb here forever." "Lie down McKayla, you need some sleep." "Who will do the watch?" "We will, just sleep. We'll decided what we're going to do next." "Dokey." McKayla laid down and fell asleep. Josh picked her up and the three of them went into a dark alley, where they wouldn't be seen. Josh put her back down and laughed. "Do you really think she'll be alright when she wakes up?" "Probably not." "I didn't think so either."

Nia had finally gotten the guy cleaned up. He still hadn't said anything, but he still looked pretty beaten up. Now that his hair was washed, she realized that it wasn't brown, but blonde and his eyes were a crystal blue. He was awake most of the time, but he never said a word. His face was still bruised and swollen, so she couldn't tell who he looked like yet, to see if he was related to any of the people in the city. Finally, he did say something. "Thanks." Nia jumped. She was surprised to hear him speak. She reconized his voice from somewhere, she was sure of it. "No problem. You should worry, you'll be alright soon. You're going to have a scar over your left eye, but it shouldn't be that big. Other then that, everythings going to heal over good." "That is good." They both smiled. Nia was happy. He was finally getting better, and she finally had a friend. How long he would stay though, she didn't know.

Once at the Bailey hotel, Angel, Jesse and the baby, were taken to a room. "Now, stay here. I'll be calling for you three later. Does Amber know about the baby?" "No, I don't think so." "Good. Very good. Yes, I'll call for you later, and you will come." Ram wheeled out of the room laughing. Java and Siva still wore a poker face, but Jack gave them a reassuring smile, before Java and Siva dragged him out of the room. "What is he going to do to us Jesse?" "I don't know Angel, but whatever he does do, we have to protect Saorise through this entire thing, understand?" "Of course." Saorise just look at them and smiled.

As Lily Spirit walked, she heard voices. Lots of voices. She quickly scrambled into a tree just as they went by. It was a group of about fifteen or more, all heading away from the city. Thing couldn't have gotten that bad, Lily Spirit though, as she climbed out of the tree once they were out of sight. She kept walked, and started towards the river, but heard voices there to. She decided to get right to the city. She didn't know what she was going to do, once she was there, but she knew she would have to do something. As it started to grow dark, she stopped. She would have to contine in the morning. She saw the skyscrapers ahead, and knew she didn't have much longer to go. She still didn't know what she was going to do.

As Falcon entered the mall, she smelt something rancid. She saw Trudy. "Trudy, what is that smell?" "Cloe and Ved got into a fight, and ended up i the sewer. The two offenders left, and now there's Techno guards everywhere looking for them. I have a feeling though, Ved started it. I'd like to think someone would learn to control him." "Well, it isn't easy. Where is Ved?" "He's in KC's room, taking a bath." "I'm going to go make sure he gets clean." "You do that. I have to deal with Cloe." Falcon headed up the stairs. She couldnt' believe it. Ved was with Cloe the entire time. Didn't he know that he was suppose to meet her at the club? She would have to sort him out once she found him.
